Benefits of API Integration #
Tassel integrates directly with Veracross using the Veracross API to automatically create inquiries from your website forms. Before the integration can be configured, your school must authorize Tassel as an approved integration partner within Veracross.
This is a one-time setup that typically takes only a few minutes.
Before You Begin #
You will need:
- Administrator access to your school’s Veracross account
- Permission to manage API integrations, which will require the OAuth_App_Admin security role at Veracross
If you do not have the necessary permissions, please contact your school’s Veracross administrator. Veracross support should be able to assist as well.
Step 1: Add Tassel as an Integration Partner #
1. Open the Identity & Access Management homepage and click Add Integration Partner.
2. Search for Tassel in the list of integration partners and click Start Integration in the Tassel card.
3. Add any Internal Notes you may want then click the green Add OAuth Application button in the top right corner. No redirects are necessary.
4. Add all Admission scopes to the application. Search for ‘admission’ without an ending ‘s’ and select to enable them. It is important to search for this exact text. Searching for ‘admissions’ reveals permissions only for files, as shown below.
Check and add all scopes that appear related to ‘admission’. These scopes are necessary for the Tassel application to push inquiries. Note that the scopes listed below are for demonstration and not the actual scopes you will see.

Step 2: Notify Tassel #
After the OAuth application has been added successfully with Admission scopes, notify your Enrollment Marketing Manager.
Once notified, Tassel will complete the remaining configuration and verify that inquiry submissions are flowing correctly into your Veracross database.
