Benefits of API Integration #
Integrating your FACTS Student Information System (SIS) with Tassel unlocks powerful capabilities for your organization. By setting up API integration, you enable automatic lead entry from various marketing campaigns directly into FACTS. This seamless data flow not only saves time but also enhances data accuracy. Additionally, pulling data from FACTS allows Tassel to provide detailed reports and perform in-depth analyses, helping you make informed decisions and optimize your marketing strategies.
Preparing Your FACTS Account for API Integration #
To get started with the API integration between FACTS and Tassel, you’ll need to set up and configure your FACTS SIS account appropriately. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth integration process.
Note: The person creating the API Key must have the Use permission for the APIConfiguration security item in FACTS Security Groups. Please reach out to FACTS support if you have questions or need assistance in getting that permission for your user.
Step 1: Log into Your FACTS SIS Admin Account #
- Navigate to the your FACTS SIS login page.
- Enter your administrator credentials to access the dashboard.
Step 2: Access the API Management Section #
- In the dashboard, click the menu button on the top left.
- Click System, then Configuration > API Configuration > API Keys.
Step 3: Generate API Credentials #
- In the API Keys section, click Add Key.
- In the popup, for Subscription Id, enter 2563a88bb53a4b15916b55368477b254
- Name the API Key Tassel.
- Under Scopes select the following
- Read for Academics
- None for Gradebook
- Write for People
- Write for Admissions.
- Then click Generate.
- Copy the key and store in a safe place for your records.
Step 4: Provide API Key to Tassel #
Copy the provided key and send it to your Education Marketing Manager or message support@tasselmarketing.com.
